While an automatic or digital face is typically easier to read, some people might like the old-fashioned feel of an analog clock. Do you pop out of bed after one alarm or need a few snoozes to get the day started? And what about sound? Are you partial to a drill sergeant or a serene melody that gently crescendos? It's also a good idea to think about the clock's display. First, think about how you typically wake up. Since your alarm clock will be the very first thing you'll interact with every morning, it's important to pick an item that ticks off all of the boxes. Show more What to Consider When Buying an Alarm Clock But, before we get into the nitty-gritty, we're sharing a few quick tips for buying the perfect one for you (because, for many, it's been a minute). ![]() This is why we culled the web for the very best alarm clocks for those who cling onto the snooze button. With so many styles, snooze options, and alarm sounds, it's important to find one that you actually want to wake up with day after day. That said, alarm clocks aren't exactly a one-size-fits-all situation. We know what you're thinking, who needs a proper alarm clock when your smartphone can basically do it all? Well, research suggests that looking at your phone shortly after you wake up can boost your stress levels and ability to be distracted, so you might want to try limiting your screen time. It's safe to say that waking up is always a drag, but having a great alarm clock can make the whole experience more manageable and maybe even pleasant. Improve the functionality of the app (there’s similarly priced activity trackers that have better apps than this) and it would be much better (adding in the “start exercise” from app instead of pressing on the watch which I can never get to work and it starts on its own when I don’t want it to! For example and ability to keep recorded data in different time zones).Imagine you're snoozing away in dreamland when all of the sudden- beep! beep! beep!-a blaring noise stops your sleep cycle dead in its tracks. But there’s no detail saved for the sleep monitoring. It’s just as well you can copy the data into Apple health. My issue I’d be interested in knowing if they’ve resolved is it not wiping data when you change time zones! When I went away for a week in the summer, first it lost all the previous data when I synched to the new time, then it lost the time I was away when I returned! It’s pretty basic but it will record fairly accurate steps. I’ve had my VFP watch and app about 6 months now. Not too bad, but needs to work across time zones! (It’s making me want to change to an actual Fitbit □) Please sort this bug out, I’m sick and tired of having huge gaps in my data after using this app for so long. It’s like a roulette of whether or not I’ll be able to document what I need. ![]() Some weeks everything is fine but others there is nothing to report. It is highly infuriating working so hard during the week only to be met with no data results by the end of it. Regardless of me wearing the watch the entire time, always fully charged, constantly stepping and doing daily activities - there is no log to be seen. I’m not sure whether the app has had an update but I’ve noticed that over the last few months when I check my progress on the app, there will be a large number of consecutive days that will have no data logged. Over the last 5 years the app has worked great, brilliant even - but not recently. I use this app primarily to monitor how many steps I take daily and how many calories I burn when I do an activity. I have used this app for my smart watch for years, I think I could be going on about 5 years now.
